MTV’s ultimate Movie Awards Best Kiss Smackdown
2 epic best kiss moments. VH1 is asking the ultimate question, who did it best Twilight or The Notebook? Take their poll and find out who did it best!
It’s all come down to this: Of all the steamy Best Kiss winners in the 20-year history of the MTV Movie Awards, you, dear fans, have decided that The Notebook and Twilightwere the absolute steamiest. Not that we’re surprised, of course. We just wanted to give you a chance to say so. Now, though, as we try to see which of the two is the end-all, be-all of onscreen liplocks — and I’m nearly out of synonyms for kisses here, so thank goodness we only did three days of this poll — things are really unpredictable. Both are between two undeniably hot actors, both onscreen pairings lead to real-life romances, both movies are based on beloved novels. Both are either regularly re-viewed on DVD in your home or frequent stops on your weekend channel surfs. And both make our hearts pound and concentration difficult as we merely think about them right now.A few things that differ: The Notebook kiss isn’t Allie and Noah’s first, the drama is in their reunion after suffering a long separation — the result of meddling parents and World War II. And the instant Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams run at each other in the rain you know they’re going waaaay past first base. Also, rain-soaked clothing basically trumps all.Twilight’s kiss is Bella and Edward’s first, with all the initial awkwardness that entails. But there’s an added element of danger that makes things much more exciting, especially when they momentarily forget to restrain themselves. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are all kinds of hungry for each other, and we feel physical pain when Edward launches himself backwards to prevent himself from turning this makeout session in to a feast. So, as we fluff up our couch cushions and get the popcorn ready for Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards, you have one last chance to decide between these two delicious scenes. We don’t envy you this decision. Polls close at 5 p.m. on Sunday!
